Little Voice

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
Office of the President
Republic of the Philippines

Malacañang Palace, Manila

Dear Mr. President,

Good day, sir!

It is my pleasure to write to you as a junior high-school student. It's been 2 years already since you began to serve our country, the Philippines and the Filipinos. We are grateful to have you and to witness your ability in serving many people. It maybe very stressful but I'm sure, the happiness you feel when helping others is immeasurable.

Serving people isn't really easy, you cannot please everybody, if they doesn't want you. But you, our President, always do and fulfill your everyday duties even if there are so many hindrances. Your courage and determination to fight against China over Scarborough Shoal and Spratly Islands, the all out war against drugs which was so timely since drugs really destroys many lives especially the youth and the innocents, the enhancement of 4P's recipients, the benefits given to the senior citizens, and the rest of your projects, all of which are centered to the development and welfare of every Filipino. These makes me proud, you were our President.

There are times when people hates and dislikes you for being so frank and vulgar. But little do they know, it was one of your nature and personality. During the country's different struggles, you remain firm on your decisions. Thus, I project and envision our country's bright future.

Through all of these, may you continue your beginnings, to guide and protect the Philippines, to teach the Filipinos to do their assigned duties and responsibilities as a citizen. For together, hand in hand, we can make a difference and we can make our country a better place to live in. We all can contribute for the development and progress of our country. Thank you and more powers! May God bless us, Filipinos and our country, the Philippines.

Sincerely yours,
Florence Sophia M. Cabatu
