English Month Celebration

Dr. Seuss once said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go." To promote the love for reading and to celebrate the diversity of learners and culture through reading, the DepEd is conducting the nationwide celebration of the National Reading Month which actually happens every year on the month of November with the theme “Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan”.

Through reading, we learn so much about life that sometimes we cannot easily understand it like how complicated life is. For us who knows how to read, we are more than blessed to be educated at an early age. In reading, it doesn't matter how fast or how slow can we read but it's the learning that we can get from it that makes it worthwhile. Many evidences suggests that children who read every day not only perform well in reading tests than those who do not, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures.

Let's go to other places without airplane tickets. Let's live another life without dying. Let's enjoy reading while we can. Indeed, reading is everything.
