First Grading Reflection

As quoted by Albert Einstein, education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school. Students, like me, either gains or forgot what he/she has learned in school. It is in ICT which I have learned where the Internet came from and also many terms related on using the Internet, Internet Services, World Wide Web, Communication Services, and the Information Retrieval Services. I also learned the definition, uses, and advantages of blogs. I also discovered the people who contributed to the Internet industry. 

For me, for the first quarter, there are already many ups and downs in any of my subjects. In our first week of studying or discussing about Internet, I can relate but some terms left a big question mark on my mind because, I am really using Internet but I am not aware of what the sites I’m using really contains or what is really the use of some terms included there. In blogging, I’m also afraid to share my thoughts or insights because in the first place, I knew already that many people can view your posts and they can judge you especially when your grammar is incorrect. 

I overcame these challenges by attentively listening to what our teacher says or explains. Do not be shy to ask help from your classmates whenever you don’t understand a lesson for them to explain it to you. Nobody is perfect. Always take the risks and do not lose hope. I will apply what I have learned in the first quarter in real life, as long as it is connected to the topic/challenge I am in. I will also consider the advantages these can do to help me and I will learn more about these interesting topics whenever I have a free time to do so.

Resiliency of Filipinos

Smiling. Laughing. Hoping. Accepting what is done and letting it pass. Filipinos are really no stranger to natural disasters. Filipinos are known for being resilient, all the time. We are capable of recovering, even how strong that disaster is. We are excellent in making things just the way they are. How can Filipinos do that? How brave are they? Well, of course, maybe it runs in our blood. Annually, there are so many unexpected disasters in the whole world, but for the Pinoys, we are already used to it. Instead of doing anything to lessen the effect of what the disaster may bring, we are doing nothing except to accept and let it pass. Strong typhoon which causes waist-deep floodwater, you can see people smiling, laughing, and they’re not afraid what the typhoon may really bring. They let it pass, wait for the lowering of waters, and try to rebuild again their homes. They rebuild. They don’t wait for help because in the first place, they already knew that nobody is going to help

Make Planting a Habit

Every year, in the month of July, Nutrition Month is being celebrated and annually, there is a correspondent theme and for this year, it is "Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin". While planting may seem small, the riffle effects of this activity can be different and extraordinary. How can planting be useful for us? How can it save us? We all know that planting has a wide scope. It can be for trees, plants, fruits, and vegetables. By planting trees, it can lessen the effects of many disasters like for heavy rains that may cause floods and many more that we can possibly experience nor encounter in our whole existence. For example, when the rains are getting heavy, it cannot stop but it can prevent the harmful effects the disaster can bring. For plants, we all know that they are those we use to decorate our home. SONA 2018

Annually, every Fourth Monday of July, the current President was able to discuss and tackle with the whole congress about his plans and projects for our country. It is very important for the Filipino citizens to know about this special event, the State of the Nation Address. So that, they will be informed about the present condition and what really the country is experiencing or facing right now. President Duterte delivered his speech last July 23, 2018, shared the country's achievements and also his plans for the next days to come and until his presidential term lasts. Many statements left a mark, a big question mark on people's minds. He said that he values friendship but it has limits. What does it mean?
